When buying a newly-built or converted home it is likely your new home will come complete with NHBC's 10-year warranty called 'Buildmark'.
NHBC is the standards setting body and leading warranty provider for around 85% of all new homes registered in the UK. With approximately 20,300 registered builders who agree to comply with their Rules and house-building Standards, around 1.6 million homeowners currently benefit from NHBC's Buildmark warranty.

Each registered plot receives NHBC's Key Stage Inspection Service, focusing on the critical stages of construction and identifying sites that may need extra attention. Approved new homes receive NHBC's Buildmark warranty.
When buying a brand new home you will need a warranty like Buildmark to help you secure a mortgage. Mortgage lenders prefer to lend on new homes that have this type of cover because they know the new home will have been built to specified standards of construction.
